A Visit to the Past

Mom's Kimono eMy mom has been the recipient of many of the quilts I have given away, and she has kindly displayed them in her home.  I made two of these kimono quilts back in 2006 (I labeled it!), one for my mom and one for a friend of hers, as a symbol of the friendship between them.  It was one of the sources of some of the scraps in my placemats and the backing of Circles, Revisited.  Over eight years and I still have scraps left!

Linking up to Free Motion Mavricks, since it does have quite a bit of free motion on it!

  2. I like to pull out scraps left from quilts made long ago and give them another go. I have some scrap quilts I could never part with as they contain my quilt history.

  3. A gorgeous quilt, and really lovely quilting. It is interesting to see how the quilting has carried the picture through to the back. As for scraps… I really enjoy seeing how some fabrics seem to go on for ever.

Thank you for linking up with Free Motion Mavericks!
