My last post offered a glimpse of something I came across in Kyoto’s Kintetsu Restaurant Area. Here’s a fuller look.
I’m not sure whether to call it a fountain or an indoor waterfall. Perhaps a wall fountain? There are words and an image of a famous local temple as well as a variety of shapes. I only recorded a short bit but I watched for quite a while.
O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G!

Amazing! The are actually “painting” with water and light. Quite a bit of engineering went into this amazing waterfall!

It would be interesting to know how they do it. I am thinking they have it all computerized, but whoever came up with the idea is brilliant.

no – I meant – why did anyone even think about doing it – ie using such complex technology to play with water like that!

Your guess is as good as mine! But I like to think that people strive to create beauty with whatever means they have, including complex technologies.
