Entering a New Stage

I finally have all my blocks done, after a few minor mishaps.  I got almost all of my background pieces cut out and sewed 4 blocks, only to find I had done 3 of them without bobbin thread.  And on pressing one of the blocks, I discovered the fabric was not, in fact, cotton.  I discovered it when the fabric shredded and melted!  But in the end, I have made it to the paper removal stage, and the paper is coming off without too much difficulty.  I haven’t had to use the tweezers yet!  I am watching Midsomer Murders and removing paper tonight.  All in all, not a bad way to spend the night!

  1. Oh how I hate discovering the lack of bobbin thread after carefully matching many, many seams….
