Rattlesnake Progress

As promised, an actual quilt picture!  Or at least a quilt-in-progress picture.

Rattlesnake center 2

If you saw my EQ7 mock-ups back in October (EEK!  What happened to November?!) you’ll recognize the layout I decided to go with.  I’ve added a red inner border and plan to put a small red border on the outside as well.  I had originally thought of putting all my blocks with red backgrounds in the center, but there wasn’t enough variety in the red fabrics for it to work.  The next round is just a simple black border, followed by more rattlesnake blocks.  Time for more paper removal!

Linking this up to Let’s Bee Social.  I’m glad to finally have something to link up!

  1. Removing the paper gives such a sense of accomplishment, and it’s a good activity for less than enthralling TV watching.

  2. Looking good! The mixed black background is especially effective.

  4. Very dra!atic with you he bright colours against the black background! It looks very intricate, but isn’t that the great thing about foundation paper piecing.
