The Home of Confucius

I have spent the last few days in Qufu, Shandong, China, where Confucius was born, attending the Nishan Forum Dialogue on World Civilizations, which this year focused on Traditional Cultures and Ecological Progress.  There was a sub-forum on Women and Civilization, which was held in an amazing location — the Nishan Academy.  It is hard to capture just how amazing the location was.  It is set up like a traditional village, and the decor is incredibly elegant and simple.  I only got a few pictures, but hopefully it gives you a taste.

  1. I can see where all your travel wouldn’t allow time for quilting. But what inspiration!
