The year is almost done, and I am quite sure there will be no surprise finishes before the year is out. It seems like a good time to review my quilting and blogging accomplishments for the year. I’ll save the blogging review for another day. For today, it’s quilts! I started out quite well this year, but by mid year, a variety of life changes put a dent in my quilting time, so most of these were finished in the first half of the year. The year’s tally includes:
4 lap-size or larger quilts made start-to-finish
2 old WIPs finished up
1 small thread sampler
5 placemats
Here are some pictures.
Every one of those quilts are magnificent! What a fabulous accomplishment! 🙂

It’s always interesting to sum up a year’s work. I’m especially partial to your squares on point and the low volume flying geese quilts. Do you see any changes in your work over the year?

In not sure that I do, really. So much of what I made was from a WIP from ages ago (even the circles quilt, now that I think of it, actually started with old blocks). I’m still fascinated by color and the blending of pattern and the mix of low and high contrast blocks. Hmmm…maybe 2016 will bring more insight.

Really wonderful work. Here’s hoping next year gives you a lot of opportunity, challenge, and fun. 🙂

Oh my! Oh Double My! I really love how improvisational and artistic your quilts look! Simply gorgeous!
And I would jump in the blue box too, without hesitation! Might die of a heart attack, but it would be so worth it, LOL.
